Diamate Velvet Halter Neck Dress

I wanted to like this on me so much. I was hoping the style would work with the halter tie back. That is what sold me. I am 5'4", a 36DD and weigh 135lbs. I usually wear a 6 in dresses. This size 8 was very tight and very long, mid calf. It is a tighter fit at the bottom and the torso section is too long so it overlaps over the waist band. Not for short curvy girls, sadly. The pretty color and glitz is as pictured. I returned it.

I am 5' 3" and 116 lbs. I ordered a size 4, which is a very safe dress size for me. I thought that the dress fit very tight in the waist and hips! To be fair, in general I don't like to wear very tight clothing. I prefer a gentle drape. Even though the dress felt very tight, it looked good on and didn't show any pulling or straining in the stomach and hip areas. I decided to order the size 6 to see if it felt better. The size 6 still felt tight, but not as uncomfortable as the size 4. I am small busted and have a short torso, so I was mostly worried that the larger size would be too big in the bust area and too long in the torso. But the size 6 fits well in the top and bottom portions of the dress! So I will be keeping the size 6. Other than the fit issues, this dress is gorgeous and very flattering!
