Plaid Longline Wool Blend Coat

I absolutely love this coat. It is really nice quality fabric, and I love the plaid. I do think it runs just slightly big, I got my normal size and I can easily fit a sweater under it, so it is perfect! I would not size down unless you don’t plan to layer. I have broad shoulders and coats can be tight but this fits perfectly.

It runs HUGE! I’m usually a size 2-4 and needed a size 0 in this coat. The 4 stars is largely due to this item being out of stock, not getting a bigger replenishment run, and the insane amount of time and energy on exchanges and returns I had to do in order to acquire this jacket in a size that fits. Because this item was sold out on early on the Anniversary Pre-Sale, as Influencer level in both the grey/black and tan/cream colors, I couldn’t get it at first. I had to wait for someone to return any size to get the item at the sale price. It took over a month for one to show up returned in my size range, a size 6. Finaly, my regular size 4 in tan/cream was returned, but that was still too big. A size 2 grey/black was returned, still too big. Finally, a size 0 in grey/black was returned, and it fits, but I really wanted this tan/cream color instead. This tan/cream combo is utter perfection for balancing wardrobes with brighter hues, and as someone who rarely wears black this is the dream plaid color. It’s so hard to find light-colored plaid that doesn’t wash you out! I still have the size 6, still waiting on a size 0 to be returned and it’s probably not going to happen. Macy’s just released the tan/cream in a new long style that has a hood, it’s not on sale, but I like hoods a lot and it’s in the color I want. So will probably return this one. I’m very bummed at Nordstrom’s Pre-Sale inventory this year, this happened with so many items that were clearly going to be in-demand. Please order more sizes and quantities for the Anniversary Sale! These items should not be sold out before Influencers can shop the pre-sale or the actual sale even starts. I want 3 hours of my life back!

I absolutely love this coat. It’s soft in texture & color, no logos. I sized up one because I’m large chested & it fit me perfectly.

I really wanted this coat but it sold out before I could buy it. I was shooting for a size 8, I have wide shoulders and I’ve sometimes found Ralph Lauren runs snug in the shoulders, but grabbed the 10 when it became available. I knew it would be a little big but figured I could wear it with bulky sweaters. Sadly, the coat is huge all around and just too big. Based on how this coat fits, I think I’d take a size 6. I’m 5’2 and this coat hits at the bottom of my knee so not thigh length like on the model. The fabric and print are really nice and I like the style of this coat so if a size 6 pops up I’ll order it. I took a star off for sizing.
