Pillow Collar Hooded Puffer Coat

Very warm, surprisingly lightweight. Feels like wrapping up in a sleeping bag. Very stylish, love the pillow collar and oversized hood. Reminds me of S&K brand. Sized down from my normal coat size (small) to an xsmall. It fit well through shoulders and a perfect trim/tailored fit through arms, but cuffs fell 2” above my wrist bone. (I’m 5’7” longish arms.) The inner vest was very loose through chest and torso, felt at least 1-2 sizes too big even with a mid-weight sweater underneath. Same for the outer coat: very large and loose through the torso and hips. It still looked good though — like it was simply an “oversized” fit. I was just hoping for something a bit more tailored :) Also note the outer coat only snaps (no zip) so from the waist down there are large gaps between each snap where the cold wind blows right through. I loved the length, the style, the navy blue color. This coat would be better with: added sleeve length + storm cuffs, and a zipper for the outer coat too.

First thing I noticed about this coat is that the color does not match the website images. It’s more green than yellowish olive, which was a little disappointing, as I was hoping it was more yellow/brown than green. Second, it runs small! Do not size down! I am 5’10” wear a US 4/6 and ordered a small as recommended by the sizing info. However, it is narrow through the arms and would not allow for sweaters or layering underneath, so I have ordered a medium instead. It is very soft and very warm and I like the inner zipper feature.

I decided I needed a longer puffer coat this winter for dog walks and for meeting friends and family outside. This one ticked all the boxes: long but not too long for a petite, not black, a generous hood and looks to be very warm. I love the color and I love the style. It has a bit more style than an ordinary puffer. I ordered the small and medium. The small fit but was too tight for a heavy sweater. The medium is perfect.

I’ve had this coat for almost two years and love it so much had to come back and write a review. I live in Chicago and needed a heavy winter coat. This one does the job and is perfect for everyday wear. Very warm and cozy with fur lined pockets and the thick pillow collar. The hood comes up over your head which is great for snowy days. I wanted to switch it up from my usual black puffers and the dark green is a nice versatile neutral. Overall a high quality, functional and stylish coat. Im 5’2 and purchased an XS and it fits great with room for sweaters underneath too.
