Longline Wool Blend Wrap Coat

I purchased this coat slightly skeptical, initially. I was worried that since I’m 4’11 it would look ridiculously long. That’s not the case. Upon opening it I smelled a slight scent that wasn’t unpleasant - per se, but was indicative of being purchased from someone else and had been returned. The second giveaway was that the tag was torn somewhat as if someone had taken it off to wear and try on, or perhaps try out for a few days. The only reason I’m highly attuned to these things is because I’ve worked retail in some capacity for most of my life: but upon recovering I tried on- my husband immediately complimented me! and I ran off to work where I’m the assistant general manager to a fitness boutique! Meaning I’m required to wear active wear (leggings, yoga pants company sold items, which are all unfortunately Lululemon 😬.. costly even with my employee discount) anyways I did not think this was a coat that would look amazing even in yoga pants, activewear sports bras and tops!, and sneakers! YET iit still looked fabulous and somehow still workers. So it is absolutely 100% worth the investment! Did I also mention it’s soft as butter! It’s heavy enough to keep you warm on cold days but not so heavy you’re uncomfortable or start having hot flashes the minute you walk into any establishment with heat, and then immediately need to take off and drag around with you while you shop! I can also fit a decently heavy sweater underneath m, but not because it’s oversized but it’s not stiff like the majority of wool (blend coat’s). And the side straps that keep the belt in place are not made of string like a lot of coats. It’s all around FABULOUS! If you’re on the fence about purchasing it- do it! I PROMISE you will not be disappointed! Next pay check I’m purchasing the than one!

Just what I was looking for! Was interested in other coats this style but settled on this one as it’s lined and well structured, the fold over collar lays very nicely without looking slouchy too. The product info says to size down if between sizes but I ended up sizing up as the shoulders are tailored and I wanted room for layering comfortably. The smaller size I tried on made wearing a sweater pretty tight. The length hits a little below the knee for average height.

I am convinced that I received the wrong coat. The item I received looks nothing like the picture and the quality is very poor, it looks as if the item has been returned. The collar of the jacket that I received is very different, the weight of the material is very thin, it is unlined and the seams on the arms of the coat make me believe that this is the wrong item. For a coat that cost more than $300 the quality is very poor. I will be returning it promptly.
