Beautiful Jacket
I ordered the jacket in the color cognac just like the model and I have a cream color sleeveless turtleneck just like the model. The jacket looks rich. I usually order a large in a jacket, but wear medium in clothes. So based on the instructions I ordered a size down. I'm glad I ordered the medium. The sleeves are long enough ( I am tall) and the jacket is not big on. I don't notice any shedding, as in some of the reviews. Frankly I was surprised by some of the negative comments. I think the jacket is rich looking, very sporty, and warm.

Sheds continuously
I loved the style and fit and wanted to keep this. I bought the black one. However, it shed continuously even after I used a sticky roller to take the excess pilling off. I took a shirt and rubbed across the liner and my shirt was covered in black "fur". No matter how nice, you can't wear it if it sheds.

I bought this coat in the brown/cognac color. The coat was beautiful, but I was covered in fur after trying it on. Even my velvet hanger was covered in fur. I had to return..

THICK FABRIC; WIDE AND BOXY
I am 5'8" tall with a 40C bust, and I usually wear size 14-16. I ordered my usual size XL in the black. I had purchased the Ralph Lauren maxi length faux shearling coat last year.
PROS: Deep, rich black color with signature Ralph Lauren buttons. The horizontal seaming is at a high waist, flattering spot. Side slit pockets are perfectly placed. Length of garment and sleeves are as expected. Fit is true to size, for a coat.
CONS: The fabric with the lining is very thick, which is great for warmth, but it has a visual look of thick/puffy. This is not the same textiles as last year's maxi coat. This silhouette is wide and boxy, which is not flattering to my full figure.

Not a great fake
This coat was disappointing. I know when its faux, its going to have elements of "fauxness", but this just looked pretty much 1000% faux and was tacky. Returned.

I like it
I guess I was surprised! It’s really nice material, especially the lining (which is throughout, and is super soft). Warm, rich tones.
As much as I love real shearling, I can’t justify it, so this is a very nice alternative.
Will be cozy this Fall and Winter.
