Matte Caviar Stick Eye Color

This is a beautiful product. I have the matte “au naturel” stick and it is just a few shades darker to hand my akin tone, enough to leave a nice shadow on my lid. It’s a bit shiney, but not in a sparkly or glitzy way. More like a flattering, natural, light reflecting way. It’s very attractive and quite nice looking. This is very easy to apply, blend, and stay - it doesn’t crease. I have a newborn and use it for a quick and easy look when I want to look put together. I want to try other sticks as well, the vanilla kiss and caramel.

I finally took the plunge, as I find these costly for one shadow stick. I tried amethyst, caramel, and khaki. The first 2 disappeared on my lids, maybe they were dried out? Just not what I expected. From the photos online, these look powdery and soft with subtle shimmer and a nice fade out. Applying these at home was less than desirable-skipping, weird filmy color that seems to 'sit' and stick on my lids, didn't blend out or look soft actually disappeared and my eyes looked sunken in and heavy--not what I was going for at all. (I have normal fair/neutral skin and eyelids-not oily) I used a brush, when that failed I tried my finger as a last resort. Meh the Khaki is darker, but I really had to work to blend it out, and I had to be careful or hello-- "racoon eyes". The other 2 were so light and looked like I hadn't applied anything at all.--but I could feel it lying on my lids. Bleh. My daughter said my eyes looked "dark" so I'm returning all three. I get better payoff/looks with powder shadows that are less expensive. I was really disappointed in these--- they look so pretty on the models and have great reviews. Maybe I got an old batch?
