Details & care

What it is: A skin-soothing face oil that balances congested complexions while visibly smoothing and softening for a glowing finish.

Who it's for: Anyone with combination, oily or blemish-prone skin types, or those in need of relief from inflammation.

What it does: This formula is made with pure plant oils to lock in hydration without clogging pores so that the skin can stop overcompensating and find the balance it needs. This product contains no fillers, is non-comedogenic, and is formulated without silicone. Lapis oil naturally varies from a deep blue to green color.

How to use: Apply 3–10 drops of the facial oil to cleansed and toned skin morning and night. Massage in and allow to absorb for 1–3 minutes before applying makeup. Store at room temperature and out of direct sunlight.

Game Changer!

I'm a 52yr old woman going through perimenopause. I bought this because I started having painful adult cystic acne on my chin. Last breakout-three huge painful cysts at one time. When one heals, another breakout starts. I've tried using "spot" treatments, masks, and other products to get this under control. Everything dried my skin out and caused peeling. I even changed my diet to eating healthy non-inflammatory foods! Btw... this started way before mask wearing. My daughter recommended this to me as she is a nurse, wears a mask 24/7, and has been experiencing horrific chin breakouts. I use serums regularly but am afraid to oils. At my wit's end, I decided to order this. I use it after washing my face am and pm. OMG! It two weeks, my chin is healed. This oil has calmed my angry skin and stopped the cysts from forming. I have even noticed less blackheads developing. How can this be?? The smell is amazing and I love the fact that It's a natural product.

Not for sensitive or acne prone skin

First off, the products I've tried from Herbivore Botanicals have been really hit or miss unfortunately. The packaging really speaks to me and the brand itself is wonderful. That being said, I honestly hated this face oil. I'm acne prone but on the drier spectrum so I thought this would be a perfect product for me. I love the Sunday Riley 'luna' and thought this would possibly be a similar product, though not exactly the same (they both contain azulene). The few times I used this, it broke me out so bad!! I would get these bumps up and down the sides of my cheeks which I have never gotten before. I gave it a fair shot and tried it several times but each time I was left dissapointed. I think the biggest issue is the coconut oil in this. Even though its "fractionated", I still think people with sensitive or acne prone skin should avoid it. I really wanted to like it but my skin just did not agree with it, so I highly suggest researching the ingredients and buying the smaller size first.

Best facial oil I've ever used

I love this stuff. I didn't want to commit to the full bottle so I bought the roller. I believe it's doing wonders for my complexion, improving the appearance of my hyperpigmentation, and improving the texture on my face. This also smells delightful. It's a subtle smell but it smells good. I'm going to buy more of the other oils and night cream from the company. Side note, I bought it from nordstroms because of free shipping as opposed to the company website where you need to spend like $75 for free shipping.

MUST HAVE

Not going to lie... I was extremely skeptical of using a blue oil on my face... my skin is pretty normal and not prone to serious breakouts except for occasionally. BUT I have noticeable pores on my nose. I've tried so many different things to make my pores smaller, but nothing really worked. I've been using the Lapis oil for about a week now and WOW. My nose and other problematic areas is clear, and my pores seem smaller. This is a great trial and travel size! Definitely give Herbivore a shot!

Luxury in a bottle

Every product I have tried from them has been like butter to my skin. My skin is glowing, radiant, healthy- I tried this new one today and had to write a review, for this brand, HIGHLY recommend!

THE best

I am a huge herbivore botanicals fan...love the pink cleanser, rose hibiscus toner and I follow with this wonderful anti inflammatory facial oil. I love the way it hydrates your skin but it also calms your skin. I bought a kit on amazon and it contained a travel-sized bottle of this oil. I ordered the big one and I can refill my small bottle now. Don’t hesitate. I have acne vulgaris and after treating my skin with prescription topicals for a couple of months after my skin clears I return to my herbivore botanicals
