Langford Windproof 625-Fill Power Wool Blend Parka

Felt like this was a bit of a splurge for me but glad I did it. Living in downtown Chicago brings some nasty winters. This parka will get you through them. Style: Classic parka that really won’t go out of style. Canada Goose has been popular for years, but in my opinion, I don’t like the fur lined hood for guys, so this jacket caught my attention right away. Also the famous Canada Goose patch can be a little gaudy depending on coloring. I went with the carbon melange color, which has an all-black patch which blends into the jacket and is very subtle/sleek. Warmth: Not much to say here… putting this on will instantly make you feel like you’re in 75 degree weather. I’ve had this out in 10 degree weather and can’t feel a thing. Instead of being scared of super cold days, I put on a tshirt and this jacket and I’m set. Also the high collar protects your face from wind, and if you pull the hood all the way up, it sort of looks weird, but completely covers your head and face. Save that for blizzard. Details: The zippers and buttons are very big on this parka and easy to use with gloves. Zipper has a long tag hanging off it making it easy to pull. The buttons down the right side of the jacket (the ones that get pressed down on) have little loops under them so you can slip a finger under to provide counter pressure to snap easier, instead of just pushing the button down into your chest. Small, smart details that go a long way. Overall, it’s an investment. I expect to have this for 10+ years.
