Laney Platform Wedge Sandal (Women)

Hearing this was designed by a podiatric surgeon, I thought these would be a great design and wear well. The bottoms felt slippery. Use sandpaper before wearing outside. I have wide toes, ordered a size up, and these fit well (I can't wear Stuart Weitzman or a lot of M width shoes because they are too narrow across the toes). I wear a 7.5, these were an 8, and my heel just fit on. There are two metallic cords that run along the outside of the foot, flip at the enter and connect behind the big toe. The part at the center rubbed the top of my foot immediately, and I knew the fit would never be comfortable. Without that element, I would've considered keeping them. I read there was arch support, but it was barely noticeable.
