Today, Lancôme has appointed some of the greatest contemporary perfumers to pay homage to the brand's founder, Armand Petitjean. The result is Maison Lancôme, a new collection of fragrances that so exquisitely touch upon and carry on Petitjean's dream, and the essence of the House itself. This new high perfumery experience takes a creative stance: the very French art of blending. Each fragrance is crafted in the same manner that one composes a wine of the most superior grade, with a combination of varities, origins and extractions that are all specially selected according to precise criteria.

Jasmins Marzipane Eau de Parfum stands out with its lively enveloping femininity. Perfumer Dominique Ropion blended a duo of the highest-quality natural hand-picked jasmine. Sambac jasmine absolute, gathered at dawn from the first harvests, conveys explosive, green and radiant luminosity, while grandiflorum jasmine absolute from the last summer harvests brings more opulent and animal tones with leathery and fruity accents. The almond wood signature softens the entire creation. Bourbon vanilla extract, which exalts the smooth, sensual, spicy and leathery facets of the scent, is accentuated by creamy sandalwood, cashmeran wood and musks. Woody, white, flower, floral.

Beautiful, clean jasmine
Compared to Tom Ford’s Jasmin Rouge, this one is cleaner, potentially more unisex, less spicy. I love both, but the almond wood here is so beautiful. It projects beyond arm’s length. Stunningly well blended. A masterpiece. Go easy on the sprays.

Totally disppointed
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was hoping this would be a sweet perfume - with the fragrances tones that were suggested - and the name Marzipan - but its nothing like...again very disappointed - i love La Nuit and was thinking it would be of a similar ilk just sweeter

Quite a dissapointment
I loved the fragrance from the first time I smelled it. It's unique and sophisticated. It's pricey, so I hesitated to buy it, but my husband got it for me for Valentine's Day and it really made my day. Unfortunately, my excitement was short lived, because this fragrance does not last at all!! I mean it is gone after about two hours. I tried spraying it on a lot, but still the same problem. I thought it was my nose getting used to it, but I asked around and nobody could smell anything after a few hours. I have never had that issue even with cheap eau de toilettes. Come on Lancome, you can do so much better, especially for eau de parfum that costs $200!

Blind Buy Success!!
This was a blind buy for me because I heard such good things about it. I thought I'd take a chance on this smaller 30 ml bottle. It is a very enjoyable fragrance. I don't care for the majority of mainstream fragrances. Always looking for something a little different, but not offensive. It's just on the edge of being a gourmand fragrance. It doesn't last as long as I had hoped from the "exclusive" line which is the reason for 4 instead of 5 stars. I wish they could carry more exclusive lines in the stores because a lot of what Nordstrom carries can be found in other department stores and I want something more unique.

Doesn't stay
This is a beautiful fragrance. It reminds me of Olene from Diptyque. Its a good combination of white floral and almonds. BUT it doesn't stay on my skin. The lady in the counter said it once stayed for 2 straight days on her but for me even with multiple spritz it stayed on for may be 4 hours. I will be returning mine :(

Beautiful Creamy Tuberose
The only 2 other reviewers seem to be very confused. They both mentioned “rose” in this perfume- this has NO rose notes at all. This has tuberose which is a creamy tropical white/yellow flower that you often receive as a welcome gift in Hawaii. We grow tuberose in our yard, it’s one of my favorite fragrant flowers and perfume notes. Amouage has mixed in a whipped cream note which adds to the creaminess and adds a touch of sweetness. This is beautifully blended. I only wish this perfume was stronger with more longevity as most other Amouage fragrances are, especially at this price point (reason for 4 stars). I am still happy to have this in my collection and definitely recommend for all tuberose lovers! Perfect perfume for spring!

Classic Beauty
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely beautiful bottle and classic fragrance. This does not smell like the typical Jasmine perfumes flooding the market today as it is a more old-school floral without vanilla or sweet base notes. In my opinion, it is a strong feminine floral and not very sweet or gourmand as you may expect from the name.
