Hypnôse Buildable Volume Waterproof Mascara

I was distraught when YSL stopped making my favorite waterproof mascara. I tried everything from the very expensive to drugstore brands. In the Florida humidity everything flaked or smudged! This is the only one that stays put all day! The only drawback is that it clumps up a bit. Maybe that's because I apply it in a heavily air-conditioned environment. However, I have found a solution that doesn't affect the hold at all. I add about 6 drops of sterling saline eye drops, shake and that's it! I'm left once again with a smooth mascara that's relatively clump free. Another thing, one coat and you can get a natural look. Layer it for more a more dramatic effect. I even workout outside with this mascara and it stays put. Love it!

I was really looking forward to wearing it, because so many brands tend to smear a little after a few hours. My natural lashes are somewhat long, and the top lashes can smudge around my eyes. I wanted a mascara that I could trust not to smudge around my eyes. I liked how it went on. It didn't go on too heavily at once, and I was able to build up coverage nicely. That part I liked a lot. However, I couldn't wear it. There is something in this product that really bothers my eyes. I tried it for a week to make sure it was the mascara, and it was. My eyes burned a little and the whites of my eyes became reddish. Unfortunately, it has to go in the trash.
