Color Design Eyeshadow

I use this eyeshadow in Vue and Mannequine together everyday and I always get compliments. If I want a little extra then I will use Nutmeg too. That helps bring out the eye color. These are silky and have a great consistency. The New Black color is a beautiful color for liner but it does flake off so I use it wet. I will continue to buy these as long as I can afford to.

I have several of these eye shadows and love them all! My most recent purchase was Off the Rack, a beautiful pale pinkish-white that flatters my pale skin tone. I use it as an all-over-the-eye area base color, including beneath my lower lashes with a tiny brush. I then use various Color Design shadows (blue, green, lavender, etc.) along my lash line with a tiny brush (upper and lower). It's great fun being creative, and I've discovered that the bit of sparkle in the shadows truly brightens my eyes and does NOT emphasize wrinkles. On the contrary, it makes me look healthy and vibrant! (Ladies, "matte" is "boring.") Timeless Taupe is wonderful along the lash line as a neutral color, and I'm getting ready to purchase The New Black for this purpose based on other reviewers' comments. Makeup CAN be fun!!!

The makeover I got using Garment (deep almost navy blue -intense), Personal Style (shimmery turquoise - metallic), and Tailored (bluish lavender - matte, and sadly discontinued) was absolutely fabulous, so I bought all 3 shades. I never would have thought to put these 3 together, but it was a success and someone younger could play it up even more by building the intensity of the colors - especially "Personal Style". I love these single shadows and their packaging is wonderful. Easy to see the shade, and easy to slide the lid over, unlike some other brands where you have to unscrew the entire lid and it goes skittering off. I'm not a fan of the Lancome kits because the color pans are usually too small, but these singles are just the right size. "Colour du Jour" (metallic) is another great shade; coppery with a tinge of mauvy red.

I bought the cafe creme because I wanted a shade that wasn't glittery, to use everyday. I put it on over my entire lid. It smooths everything out, is subtle and stays on. There are pros to getting the containers with several shades, but in the end, one or two are always wasted. For that reason, I now prefer to have individual, neutral shades. The cafe creme is on the light side, but great as a neutral.
