Hypnôse Drama Instant Volumizing Mascara

Ok, so, I've bought drugstore mascara for years. I buy high-end everything else cosmetics wise, but have never had a high-end mascara that worked better than the cheapo in the orange tube until THIS. A friend of mine suggested the Hypnose Drama and when I asked at my local Lancome counter, the sales lady said "I don't usually recommend this mascara". She handed me a tester and showed me how to apply it and WOW we were both SHOCKED. I am uploading a photo here of what it did for my lashes. CLICK on the photo to see it clearly. **You need to know HOW to apply this. Not only do you put on the underside of your top lashes, but you place the wand at the base of the TOP side of your upper lashes, then turn the wand as you pull it to the end of your lashes - you're "rolling" on the mascara. This is the key to getting the most from this mascara. I will say if you purchase this (or any other Lancome product) while they have the Warm/Cool Holiday Purchase with Purchase for $59.50, BUY THE SET! I bought it and it is amazing. I've never worn Lancome before and it was a great way to try lots of their products I would never have tried otherwise. Plus the travel case is huge and is really worth the $60 by itself in my opinion. I am in love with the eyeliner pencil (which I used on my waterline also), the blush, and the La Base primer from this kit. Also, I used all of the eyeshadows included in this kit and got an amazing smoky eye in a flash. I may be a Lancome convert after trying this kit. (I chose the Warm one.) I used the Definicils mascara which came in my Warm kit this morning and tried the Hypnose Drama on over the Definicils. After applying the Drama, the sales lady said "WOW! What a DIFFERENCE!" - we were both amazed at the intense difference it made. It really looked like I had applied fake eyelashes. I think I will always apply the Drama over the Definicils - Definicils to separate and the Drama to thicken. Really amazing combo. PS - The Definicils comes in the Warm Holiday set and the Hypnose Drama comes in the Cool set. The mascara is $27 by itself and you get a full sized one in the purchase with purchase. Just the mascara and the train case are worth the $57.50! Plus you get all of the extras.

This is the WORST mascara I have ever used. I have to apply it before eyeshadow and concealer; otherwise, I wipe most of them off cleaning up the flakes that surround my eyes from the second it dries. I wish I had returned it after the first use, but I thought it might improve with time. I'm back to cover girl, which has a better brush, is just as black, is better at thickening, only flakes at the end of the day, and costs less than $8. If I'd had the option to give this zero stars (or negative), I would have.
