Laken Plush Fleece Jacket

The question is not IF you should by this jacket (because the answer is YES), but rather, what size should you buy?! I bought this jacket on a whim late one night and picked it up the next day. I saw what looked like a furry white blanket peeking out from the bag and I almost marched right back into the store to return it. I am a mom of three young boys; I have NO business owning a white jacket! And then I tried it on. And I immediately fell in love. It is so warm and cozy and surprisingly flattering! Originally, I bought the jacket in my regular size- medium. (I’m 5’8 and 140 lbs.) But after wearing it around the house for a couple of days (and reading other reviews on it) I decided to have the small shipped to my house for comparison. (See pics of side by side.) Honestly, I think either one would have worked but I ended up sticking with the small and I’m so glad I did. The sleeves were almost TOO long and generous in the medium. And while I liked the length of the medium (partially covering my rear) I actually think the small fits the way it was designed to fit (doesn’t cover your rear). Also,I bought this as a casual throw on for after workouts or to go pick up my kids. This wasn’t meant to be my main winter coat (although there is still plenty of room for layering even under the small!) Plus- its machine washable! Win win win! The ONLY thing that bothered me a little bit in the small is that the elastic at the bottom sometimes rises up when I put my arms above my head (like when I put my hair up.) It’s annoying to have to sometimes put it down. But honestly after a couple of days of wearing it I don’t really notice anymore. Bottom line- buy this jacket!
