excellent quality
I LOVE these pants! I have them in 4 colors and as I've lost weight have continued to buy the next size down--its worth it. They sit nicely just below the waist, the fabric is outstanding quality, wrinkles just hang out. I do think they run a slight bit generous in size.

Lafayette 148 Menswear Trousers
First I want to state that I purchased these Trousers in the Winter White...I was appalled that a pant at this price point in a light material was not lined. You could see everything.
I have no use for such a pant

Beautiful but short
These are beautiful, high quality dress pants with a classy straight leg. They have a beautiful, gentle (and now hard to find drape over the knee) rather than the tight knee so currently in style. The only problem is that they are short, even though they are unfinished. They only offered regular and petite so I got the regular even though I am 5'9" tall. I figured I'd be safe with unfinished hems. I was wrong. Unfinished, the inseam is only 30" and I did not see this noted anywhere on the website. I really need 32" or 33" for the break I want. They need to offer a tall size or provide the usual 35" unfinished hem so cover a variety of heights.

Beware!
I have four pairs of these pants in different colors. I loved them for the first year or so but after that the give in the fabric caused every pair to stretch to double/triple the size in the behind -- major grandpa butt. (My behind is not at all huge - size 6). .I've had one pair altered by someone very good, but the seat just doesn't look right so I don't dare wear them unless my rear is covered. A real disappointment as the original fit was quite good. Word to the wise -- forget stretch wool when it comes to pants.

Great pants for women with curves
I am moderately curvy. My stomach isn't flat even though I am not overweight. I also have a fairly narrow waist and wider hips. Most pants are either 1.) low rise types that gap widely at the back or are too small for my hips to fit into or 2:) narrow down in the legs, which makes me look like an inverted triangle with my wider hips.
These are great. They sit higher up, without being too high up. Very comfortable. The small amount of stretch allows a little weight gain or loss while they still fit. They don't look tight though. Very professional for work.
Light weight is great for summer, spring and fall.
Great color choices too.

Not as expected --
Had hoped for traditional wool weave, with sufficient weight to be warm -- not so. Had hoped for "full" legs (as in "men's trousers") -- not so. Had hoped for pants that fit at the waist. Well, maybe they would if a man were wearing them ... In short, this is a lovely pair of pants in principal but not what I wanted, or even expected, and it was a disappointment to have to return them.
The sales person who processed my return said traditional waists will be returning in the spring. Can't happen too soon, and I hope next winter's pants will include some in heavier weight wools that reflect the fact that winter can be cold.
