Irving Skinny Stretch Wool Pants

These are a replacement for my beloved, lined black wool pants. I am returning them. They are a very thin wool. The term, back when clothes were made of better fabric was tropical weight wool. They should be lined. They are not. I am returning them and continuing to look for quality fabrics for my clothing. A futile quest.

This great classic pant has been a work mainstay in my closet. I have this style in black, nickel, and ink, and just added this season's color, cammello. Each works beautifully with a blazer, or adds a little polish to a sweater when leggings will not do. Nice fit, fabric and drape. I will note that the waistband this year seems slightly wider than that of past seasons. Highly recommend!

I need to look professional and it is sad that stores no longer have classic pants. However, Lafayette 148 the Irving stretch pant fits the bill and is amazing. It is nice to have a good quality wool and the little bit of spandex makes it very flattering and comfortable. Last year I bought the ink color and loved it. This year I was replacing and old pair of grey pants with the nickel color and I decided to try to camel color which looks alot better in person than on the website. Truly almost a year round pant and a staple in my closet.

I have 4 pairs of the Lafayette Irving pants and bought another pair of black ones this Anniversary Sale. I'm 5'0 125 lb and purchased size 8 and have the waist taken in 2 inches and hemmed. Not a tight fit on me. I'm retired so don't need many dress pants any more, but I wear these when I need a more polished look. Very comfortable. Great fabric.

The Irving pant by Lafayette remains in the top ten staple of my closet. The light weight fabric is so flattering and drapes beautifully and can be worn year round in Seattle weather. I purchased a size ten and I am 5’ 7”, the fit is true to size. I will be buying more colors of the Irving, and was happy to see it on the Anniversary sale.
