Charmeuse Tank

This shell is perfect alone or under a jacket. I purchased the "cloud" color, which is white - and it is difficult to find a true white in a silk shell (usually its ivory or some off-shade). This shell is beautiful and drapes perfectly - it is a go-to piece. Love it so much went back and purchased it in black as well!

I really don't like to wear tanks underneath another top either because it dips too low in the front or because it is too sheer. I particularly don't like to wear a tank that makes the blouse bunch and I also don't like the look of the "v" of the tank, not a good look for me. So I bought this silk tank (granted at a high price for its intended use) to wear strictly as an underpinning. It has worked wonderfully. It is high enough to do its job and low enough to hardly be noticed. Also since it is so fine, it doesn't lay flat and result in the "V" that I don't like. I have now bought three of these, in white, navy and olive, and use them all the time. I even wear them under plaid shirts. Saying good-bye to those bunchy cotton and squeezy tanks! Also,they are very good quality, so you could definitely wear them as a top as well.

I already purchased this top in size 4 in melon and teal on sale. Both fit beautifully. I decided to splurge for full price on the black for a fashion staple. This one was cut much larger and looked matronly on me. I would reorder in a size 2. I am 5'3" 34C 26 inch waist.. Beautiful fabric and lining.
