Bernice Leather Moto Jacket

I ordered this jacket in red and I was very excited when it arrived. My first disappoint was the color, it wasn’t an appealing red, but then When I took the jacket out of its wrapping, I was so disappointed, the leather wasn’t the soft butter leather I expected, It was kind of stiff and if that wasn’t bad enough the zipper was not sliding well . Needless to say, I returned the jacket.

Beautiful high-quality leather, great fit. True to size for Lafayette 148, which generally runs large. The color is richer than online photo. It is a lighter-weight jacket than a lot of other leather ones, which I like for South Carolina living. Will see a lot of use. Nice break from black and navy, and still versatile. Love it!

Love this jacket. I bought the XS and i am 5’3” and 100 lbs. I usually take an XXS in most designers but since this didn't come in that size decided to take the chance on the black one. The leather is soft, not thick, on the thinner side which I love. I can easily wear a sweater underneath yet it doesnt look oversized or bulky. My husband loved it the minute I put it on. It has a different vibe from my other tight fitting Moto jackets from Iro or Allsaints. Definitely one to grab for a more dressed up look even if only wearing jeans.

I normally wear a medium. Based on other reviews saying the jacket ran small, I sized up to a large and that was a huge mistake! I went to my local Nordstrom store and tried on the jacket and it was very clear that I needed to size down to a small. In my search for a leather moto jacket, I believe I’ve tried on every moto jacket known to man. ( I’ve been searching for several yars.) The common theme was that all of the other jackets had some substantial weight to them. This jacket has a refined look, in keeping with the moto style and it’s thin. Because live in Dallas, this will give me more flexibility and allow me to comfortably wear the jacket three seasons. I absolutely LOVE this jacket!
