What it is: A pre-serum treatment essence that prepares your skin to reap the benefits of serums and treatments to follow.
What it does: This light-yet-potent hydrating and conditioning formula contains 100% active Caviar Water, a highly concentrated infusion with active caviar-rich components to lift and firm. It also helps refine and minimize the appearance of pores.
How to use: Apply morning and night after cleansing and toning. Pour a small amount into the palm of your hand and smooth over your face. Using a gentle patting motion, massage for several seconds until completely absorbed. Avoid getting into your eyes. Follow with your favorite serum and moisturizer.

Essence Sublime!
Stunning product...probably one of my favorites in the SkinCaviar line! Granted, the price is steep, but not abnormal considering the rest of the line. Add to that, the product in this bottle goes a long way, and lasts a long time. Being on the wrong side of 59, I'm fairly certain I will be keeping this as a mainstay to my regimen. Keeping the bounce in my skin is just as important as keeping a bounce in my step!

Burn Baby Burn
I received a sample of this product from a Nordstrom sales person. It would have been perfect as I live in a desert area and need lightweight products, It fit the bill except my skin got a burning sensation right away. I tried it again a week later, same thing. It could have been the perfume in the product, but a person with sensitive skin should try a sample first. If only cosmetic companies did not use perfume in their products, it does not belong there. I saw a lot of complaints about the perfume in this product online, they should pay attention. We have gone past grandmas day.

what we have been missing all this time
Sometimes I skip toner and just use this but your supposed to use toner first. My skin is combo but it appears as if my skin drinks this in and loves it! Almost feels like a serum really helps hold in hydration. Just wish it came with a pump instead of pouring it out.

AWESOME
I wanted to try this to see how it compared to the La Mer Treatment Lotion. Hands down I love the La Prairie. It's thicker and so silky, light fragrance, feels like heaven on the skin. Highly recommend. You don't need much so for the price I can justify. Really awesome product!

Good Essence
Essences are popping up everywhere, seemingly from every brand. I've tried essences by SK-II and La Mer, and La Prairie's essence beats both. I honestly don't know whether or not I believe this is a necessary step in my already lengthy skin care regimen, but this essence feels and smells delightful upon application and I do feel as though it prepares my skin for serum and cream following use.
If most or all of your skin care products are La Prairie, you will absolutely benefit from this essence. I use the Skin Caviar line, so this addition makes sense. I subtracted a star because I did find it to cause an occasional pimple on my chin, which is the only 'combination' area on my face. Overall a great product worth the money!

Heavenly Treat
I received a sample of this in my recent Nordstrom order. I have super dry, menopausal skin. I'm 44yo. I applied this after washing my face this am and can't tell you how nice this has sealed in the moisture for the day. It's now 7hrs later and my skin is still glowing! This has the cleanest scent, is 100% luxury & I am in love!!!! My skin just drank up this essence!! I can't tell you enough about it ... It is "that" good! Splurge!!

Kind of like magic....!
After a day of use, this has already made my skin look and feel VERY moisturized, softer and firmer. I used the La Prairie skin caviar line after this (it came as a gift with purchase) and must say I am considering becoming a devout follower of this luxury line - if I can find a skincare regime that staves off the Botox, etc. route, I will! Feels like I found a kind of magic with this product.
