Cellular 3-Minute Peel

I first discovered this after seeing a Youtube video about the peel, many years ago. I tried it then and loved it straight away: pores smaller, skin much smoother than when using any manual exfoliator, more even, and any rough patches disappeared. It also flattened any acne on my chin and forehead, and it did this literally overnight! The product itself is a AHA/BHA peel that combines low to mid strength amounts of Lactic, Glycolic and Salicylic acids, without the irritation you'd experience with a high-strength peel. I'm not a big fan of the brush applicator that comes with it as it wastes product, so I just use a store-bought spatula to apply. Admittedly when I first used this, I was completely new to AHA's/BHA's and had nothing to compare it to. Now that I've used various types of AHA products, from basics like The Ordinary, up to 'premium' ones such as Drunk Elephant, Alpha-H, etc in the years since, I no longer feel as 'wowed' by the results as I did back then, and that's regardless of whether I leave on for 3 minutes as per the directions, or 10 (the maximum my skin can take). The packaging is stunning, as with all things 'LP', but it's a splurge no doubt, and not nearly as effective as other peels that cost a fraction of the price. Worth using if you are new to AHA's, and can afford the price tag. I have tried many La Prairie products. Some are more effective than others but this is one of my favorites. I use this twice a week in conjunction with the hydrating mask and it is like a mini-facial. It gets rid of dry spots and clears up blemishes more quickly. I put the 3-minute peel on for 10-15 minutes to maximize effectiveness. If I feel a pimple coming up, I dab this on for a few minutes after cleansing and toning at night, then continue with my nighttime routine. It exfoliates well, but gently. If I had to pick, I would choose Power Charge Night and the 3 Minute Peel as the most effective products in my La Prairie regimen.

Woah! that was my reaction upon trying this. I don't know how i could have possibly gone so long without trying this out. I have used numerous peels across the beauty boards and NONE have been this effective. This is so strong that you only really need literally 3 minutes. Ive done peels and left them for 30 minutes just to get a result. After three minutes I washed this off to reveal soft, glowing skin and noticed that my acne scars were significantly lighter. Any product that works this fast is a win in my book.

The product gives quite intensive tingling sensasions right after applying. The skin looks red after washing it of, hovewer it glows and looks healthy. Intensive moisturaser has to be applied right after using this product, so the skin looks great in the morning. I would't recomment it for overly sensitive sking- it would do more damage than good.

I've only tried this mask once so I can't tell you about the long-term results from it. But I can say that one time was enough to convince me that this was worth the purchase! I was suffering from a break out and I used this mask the other night. The next morning I'm not kidding my pimples had flattened out and my skin was less red and much less inflamed. Coincidence or the product? I'm not sure since that was my first time using it, but my bet is on the peel. I have sensitive skin as well and it gets irritated very easily from harsh products. This peel was so gentle on my skin, yet so effective at the same time. I'd choose it over a spa peel any day!
