What it is: A cleansing mousse featuring a creamy texture that transforms into a generous foam upon contact with water.
What it does: La Mousse thoroughly removes pollution, sunscreen and traces of makeup, without compromising skin. The complexion is left feeling fresher and more comfortable. Barrier function is preserved for up to 24 hours. La Mousse is infused with the House's emblematic flower, the camellia. Camellia ceramides help strengthen skin's barrier and lock in hydration. Obtained from frozen guajacq camellia petals through hydrodistillation, camellia water leaves skin with a fresh sensation.
How to use: Apply the mousse every morning and evening. Dispense a small amount into your palm, add water and work into a lather. Apply to the entire face. Perform small circular movements with your fingertips. Using your palms, make wide circular movements on the cheeks, forehead and chin. Rinse and pat skin dry with a clean towel.

Love the texture!
I was skeptical when I first opened this because it came out super thick, but once you add a little water, it lathers up to a super silky texture. Had great coverage and I could feel the difference in the way my skin felt immediately after rinsing it off. The bottle is a very generous size for the cost! As others said, it has a floral scent, I don’t love strong scents and I wasn’t bothered at all by this.

An outrageous waste of money
If you're the type of person that only buys products because it has a certain brand name on it, instead of buying it because of its ingredients or quality, then you're the reason why products like this exist. I received this Chanel face wash for free to try and review. And, to be honest, I couldn't imagine dropping $60+ bucks on a face wash.. but if I did I certainly would expect far better ingredients and performance than this product offers! Sure, it lathers beautifully, but do you know anything about the safety of the ingredients that make it do that? Or what about that "lovely" fragrance, did you know that artificial fragrances (in perfumes, soaps, laundry products, etc.) contain hormone disruptors that cause a wide array of health issues? Don't believe me? A simple Google search is all it takes to be an empowered consumer, instead of part of the problem. EWG - Environmental Working Group - is an unbiased resource where you can learn about the safety of the ingredients in beauty products, I encourage everyone to learn about what you put on your skin. Remember, if the product absorbs or moisturizes, it's not only on the outside of your body, it's inside you. You should be aware of what risks you take. Support brands that do things right, buy natural, clean products that are good for you and the planet, instead of products that are good for making some CEO richer somewhere.

Not my favorite
The body is sleek, the texture of the cleansing creme is nice, and I feel fancy using a product from Chanel, but for me, thats kind of where the benefits ended. I found the extremely strong powdery scent (reminiscent of Chanel No 5, which admittedly is not my thing) overpowering to the point that it made my eyes burn (and no I didn't get any in my eyes). The bottle is kind of hard to open... it's just a screw on lid, but the shape is a bit oval and very smooth and hard to grasp in the shower; it's like no one tried to use this bottle in R&D before launching this product. I prefer a pump or at least the type of screw top that doesn't come all the way off so you don't have to find a place to set the lid down (ok, small thing, but in the shower its annoying). The biggest complaint I have is that the product doesn't remove makeup at all, so I have to wash my face with something else either before or after using this, which just feels unnecessary. When I use other creme face washes from luxury brands, I don't have that problem. Would definitely not repurchase.... yet I still felt fancy using it! Ha!

best luxury cleanser in the universe!
I’ve been using CHANEL’s LA MOUSSE for a few weeks, and I’m honestly impressed. The creamy texture transforms into such a generous, cushiony foam when you add water it feels luxurious while giving a deep, thorough cleanse without ever stripping my skin. Right after rinsing, my skin feels instantly fresher and noticeably more hydrated. With continued use, my complexion has become smoother, my texture looks refined, and my skin feels so comfortable and balanced.
I also love that it’s gentle enough to preserve my skin barrier and microbiome, yet still removes impurities, sunscreen, and makeup effortlessly. The camellia ceramides leave my skin feeling nourished, hydrated, and protected. Plus, after every cleanse, my face has this gorgeous, natural glow that makes my skin look radiant and healthy. The ritual itself is calming too the foam feels so soft and airy, and the circular massage movements recommended really enhance the experience.
LA MOUSSE has quickly become my favorite step in my routine it cleans thoroughly, leaves my skin glowing, and sets the perfect canvas for the rest of my skincare.

Luxurious Cleanser That Actually Works!
absolutely love the Chanel La Mousse Camellia Cleansing Cream-to-Foam. The texture feels rich and creamy at first, but once you add water, it transforms into a light foam that cleanses deeply without leaving my skin dry or tight. A little goes a long way, so the tube lasts longer than expected.
My skin feels fresh, soft, and smooth after every use, and I’ve noticed it looks brighter and more balanced. The light fragrance gives it a luxurious feel, but it’s not overpowering.
Yes, it’s on the pricey side, but if you’re looking for a cleanser that combines effectiveness with a spa-like experience, this is worth the splurge. to add it smells great.

love it
I got the cleanser 2 weeks ago and have tried it the whole time. The texture is creamy and really easy to apply on. My face feels clean and no irritation at all. Highly recommend!
