The Best
Ever count the number of pressed powder compacts one can go through? Many decades ago as a part time job while in college, I blended powder for Charles of the Ritz customers. That experience spoiled me. I was ever seeking out that perfect 'translucent' coverage for a combination skin. I've found that powder in La Mer's #02. Giving perfect application that's light as air, my skin doesn't feel dry and no settling in fine lines. It smooths out my complexion so I look refreshed as though the day just started. So natural, it is a welcome essential.

not so great
I was very disappointed purchasing this powder . First , it was over hype and price. The quality was not there for what I pay for . I’ve tried so many powder you name it even department store high end powder and this was by far one of the worst because it drys my skin even though I’m an oily to combination skin . It doesn’t look smooth on . My skin doesn’t look glowing. I feel the quality is like of a cheap powder . Totally does not worth money. Even cheap powder in the drugstore is better . Sorry this is my Honest opinion.

Perfection!
Right on the money! This powder is lightweight yet provides just enough coverage to take off the sheen and cover slight imperfections in my skin. I do not wear foundation at all-ever. I just use this type of powder. The medium deep is for olive or tanned skin and the color is a chameleon. It gives my face a soft glow and smooth feel. There is definitely LaMer crème properties in it. It goes on smoothly and effortlessly. Use sparingly as little goes a long way. It does come with a sponge. I use it with the La Mer brush. The best brush ever. The compact could be made more user friendly so it does not slip out of your hand as it is pricey. I am very pleased with it. I have 53 year old combo skin. I take very good care of my skin by focusing on hydrating it, eventhough it is combo skin...it dries out too at times. If you keep your skin adequately hydrated, it will be plump and young looking, at any age and that goes for the rest of your body too. Great innovative product La Mer...Thanks!

Like not love
So far I think I prefer the loose powder to the pressed but this one is good too. If you are oily it would be great to have with you all day as it does blur pores and take down shine. I am very dry so I just use this around my nose which is my only spot with small pores, and under my eyes to set concealer.

You will love this
I have always had a love/hate relationship with La Mer- the things I love seem to hate my skin-even the notorious moisturizer. SIGH. I purchased this powder rather impulsively, I was trying a La Mer foundation and saw that this had great reviews and I decided to give it a try.
I AM SO HAPPY THAT I DID!! I am a translucent mineral powder kind of gal and ordered the light in this pressed powder. It is wonderful. it feels amazing on my skin, does not cake up over foundation and is perfect for touch-ups. Absolutely worth the price.

Nice pressed powder
I was a bit leary about spending so much on a pressed powder but decided to do so during a 10 point event. The powder is excellent. A bit more coverage than the Chanel pressed powder I usually wear. Leaves a nice matte finish without being drying and layers well over moisturizer. Application works better with a brush than with the included sponge. Not sure I will purchase again because the price is simply out of line with comparable products.

Sheer Perfection!
I am shocked to see the negative reviews on this powder because I found it to be quite the opposite! I’ll agree that it’s overpriced for the amount you get, but this is just a setting powder for the under eye area, as well as a touch up powder for me. This should easily last you 6 months. If you’re into packing on powder to combat oiliness or using it for “baking” purposes, this powder is not going to last you, nor is it going to perform the way you want — You’re better off getting a drugstore brand for that. This is a velvety soft setting powder meant for mature skin, and I highly recommend it!
