The Cleansing Foam Face Cleanser

It takes me a long time to use up a tube of any cleanser, usually a year or more. When I began using La Mer I was still using another brand of high end cleanser in an attempt to use it up. However I felt like I was cheating the La Mer regimen so I ordered this cleanser. I would recommend using makeup remover to remove eye makeup and then using this to cleanse your face. It only takes a very small dot. If you took a pencil eraser and divided it into fourths you will only need the equivalent of 1/4 or less of a pencil eraser to cleanse your entire face. If you use more than that you are using too much and wasting it. It has a light scent and makes your face feel clean and prepped for tonic and the rest of your regimen. Absolutely a must have. I have provided a photo that includes a measuring tape and a quarter for reference of size as when I was first considering this brand I wanted all the information I could get. I do love the cleanser but why the fancy cap and it is heavy too. Is the customer paying for the heavy, fancy cap, what a rip off. Why not just put a regular cap on this. It is a bit pricey for what you get and I know that the increase more then likely came with the cap. Please Lamer you don't have to go so fancy. I really really think everyone is more interested in the product rather then the cap. Please change the cap and reduce the price.

I have used this cleanser for several years now with great results. It has a silky texture, removes all traces of makeup, and yet is gentle enough for my sensitive skin. That said, I cannot believe Nordstrom has increased the price from $65 to $75 for the same 4.2 ounces simply because La Mer repackaged the item and added a shiny new cap. SILLY! I love all of my La Mer products, but this unwarranted increase leaves me considering a change in brands.

I know you don't need to spend $80 on a facial cleanser, I know the drugstore brands work just as well, and I know you probably don't get much benefits from a cleanser. BUT, to me it is worth the splurge. I like the smell, I like how clean my face is after using it, and I like that you only need a tiny amount (think half size of a pea). A tube will last me a year with 1x use a day. I like starting my morning with this La Mer cleanser because it reminds me how lucky I am and how much harder I should work today. : ) And oh yea, nice skin too. I have combo skin, 30s. This cleanser is gentle enough that it doesn't give me dry patches but removes enough oil from T-zone and chin. Also, it doesn't leave a film. Foams and rinses off easily. I use it gently around the eyes too.

I have been using this new cleanser plus the moisturizing soft cream for one week now. Before that I had been using the original mosturizer and the original cleansing foam and the richer eye cream in the green jar. My skin has always been dry and now I'm older. I had tried a sample of the moisturing soft cream a while back, and thought it made my skin feel tight. At any rate, when I first started using these two new products, my skin felt tight, and I was concerned. But I decided to keep going with the program, and after a few days, my skin has normalized. So, we shall see. The moisturizing soft cream is definitely easier to apply and may result in less waste due to better coverage and using less product. I've tried all the cleaners except the new Cleansing Gel (none others of which are compatible to my skin type), and the foam cleanser plus a once or twice a week use of the refining facial does the trick. I'm not a fan of fancy packaging, though, and I believe La Mer lets us down here. There is so much waste to their packaging. I keep my eye cream and moisturizing products in the frig, and dole out into sample size jars for daily use. I've used this line for seven years now and would not even think of going to something else. At age 67, and an esthetician, I've tried almost everything. Love the serums too. Keep up the good work and scientific discovery, La Mer!
