NEW TO LA MER
I purchased the UV Protecting Fluid because we all need to use sunscreen. SPF of 50 is a plus! Goes on nicely and the smell is just fine. I let it soak in awhile before applying makeup.
FYI: I called Consumer Relations for LaMer to find out the expiration date of the active ingredients and found out this product has a shelf life of 3 years and the code on the bottom of box and/or the bottle tells you when it was manufactured. For example mine said AA3 which means it was made in 2013 and I bought it 2014 so I have 2 years left. I will have used it all before than and plan to purchase again.

I wanted to love it! :(
Note: This sunscreen is a chemical sunscreen, so if you're looking of a physical sunscreen- look elsewhere.
I've tried many sunscreens: Chanel (my HG), Dior, Shiseido, Lancome, Clarins, Jan Marini, and Natura Bisse (best sunscreen for protection, PA+++ SPF 50). I decided to try La Mer's sunscreen, because I love their skincare products.
This sunscreen is has a fairly thick consistency, so it takes awhile for it to be absorbed. Also, if you don't like your face feeling a bit heavy and moisturized- then stay away. Aside from the heavy feeling, it worked really well with my foundation. My skin didn't look greasy, the foundation applied very well over it and my skin looked very moisturized.
Unfortunately, the next day my skin had broken out (I used nothing new on my skin, but the sunscreen)! :( This would've been a great sunscreen to use during the Winter! This product didn't work well with my skin, I have combo/oily skin and I am acne prone. But, just because it didn't work for me- doesn't mean it won't work for you!

Testing it out and no brown spots or freckles
My love hate relationship with the feel that SPF products leave on my skin made me try this one and I am so glad I did. Some look dry, greasy and I hate if they leave the skin chalky and powdery white. This feels more like a moisturizing emulsion and it does not feel like I am wearing SPF. I said what the heck, I love the La Mer moisturizer, and the mist; let my see if this is also wonderful. It is! I am currently using Tom Ford Moisturizer from the soliel collection and the La Mer SPF 50 on top. Then I can add my illuminators, primer or nothing else. The formula is light weight, does not have an SPF smell and La Mer has set the bar pretty high for me with this! I have tested it outdoors and I do tan easily, but I have not noticed any additional freckles or brown discolorations. So I feel great about this one and haven't had any breakouts either. All that said, the price is justified to me!

Love It!
I have been looking for a facial sunblock with a high spf that applied, smelled, and acted like a moisturizer rather than the typical sticky and dripy sunblocks that I'm used to. This not only met my expectations but far exceeded them! It has a great texture that my skin drank in and smells great. I would have thought it was just an awesome la mer moisturizer if I didnt know it was a sunblock product. I just spent the weekend at the very sunny Disneyland and didnt get any color on my face despite being very fair and easy to burn. I love it and am excited to add it to my routine!

The best sunblock ever!
I have been using Chanel sunblock for years. The Chanel sunblock is drying and the scent is so strong it burns your eyes and the perfume taints your hands even after several washes. I put some on my daughter and her eyes were watering and I got it no where near her eyes. I finally couldn't stand it anymore. I have always been curious about la Mer but only have used a few things in the past. I bought this sunblock and it turned my dread of wearing sunblock to now I put it on everyday even if I am not going out in the sun. It's so comfortable and you cannot feel it coating your face, your skin really feels like it can breath. It's not heavily perfumed and again it is so comfortable and lightly moisturizing. I cannot believe I have been tolerating the Chanel for so long when I could have been using this product. If you have sensitive skin or sunblocks irritate your skin I highly recommend this product. I love the fact that you can wear this and it's so comfortable and non greasy. I cannot rave enough about this product!

Melasma help
I suffer from mild melasma and am always searching for sunscreens I can apply every single day. Specifically, one that is effective and invisible! After some research (I’m a nurse) , I found this one. I use it everyday so I go through a tube every 2 months. It works very well and works the cost.
