Side Slit Stretch Satin Gown

Keep in mind all of my thoughts are upon first try on, I haven’t worn this dress to an event, etc. I have only tried it on directly out of the box. Pros: -Material is thick and doesn’t look/feel cheap -comes with built-in padding so you don’t have to wear a bra Cons: -Loose threads visible near top of slit and bottom hem of dress -Sizing is extremely weird (I’ll get into that below) -sizing is on the large side Tips: -If your body type is an inverted triangle or apple, this dress will fit beautifully on you! (Or if you’re larger in the breast category) -If you have a body type like mine (smaller waist and breasts, larger hips and butt) prepare to size down or get the dress tailored. My thoughts: I am a little disappointed in this dress, mostly because of the sizing and the loose threads. My measurements are typically 40in hips, 26.5 in waist, and 34A cup size. Sizing wise, this dress is STRANGE! I am typically a size 4/6 in dresses, and have never had this problem before. (Even when ordering from the same brand!) The waist sizing is fine, though it can look a little loose sometimes. The hips are a little tighter, but that doesn’t harm the look of the dress at all. My MAJOOOR issue is with the breast sizing. I don’t know if you can tell in the photos posted, but it is gaping! Standing straight, at least one strap falls off my shoulder, and that’s when pulled all the way down (me doing my best to make the breast area fit better). I’m sure this dress would look great on someone with a large chest, but if you’re anywhere close to my size: SIZE DOWN!!! I don’t know why they sized the dress this way, because at least in my experience, women and girls who wear smaller sizes typically do not have large breasts. Or breasts large enough to fit this dress well. My guesstimate for what size the breast area would fit is at least a C, maybe even D. Definitely not Bs or As. Overall, this was super disappointing for me. Paying 400$ for a dress, you hope you do not have to get it tailored, however I think that is going to be the case for me. I am thinking of exchanging this dress for a size 2. If I do end up doing so, I’ll update this review.

I’m wearing this dress for my casual Disney cruise wedding! Some review info imo is incorrect. This dress runs true to size, I ordered a size 4 and slightly loss in the belly but has a lot of stretch for a formal gown. I’m 127 lbs and ordered a 2 and 4. The 2 is tight but fits and the 4 is perfect but I’m not at my ideal weight yet so if you are in the low 120 and no curves like me it will fit perfectly (size 2). Im 5’5” and with my So Kate pumps (4.7inch) the dress needs zero hemming (size 2 dress). The size 4 has more height so a dolly (6.25 inch) heel height works with no hemming. I m trying to drop the weight for my wedding so I can wear lower heels and wear the size 2. I have 32DDD so the first review is correct you need a big chest to fill out the dress. It’s a gorgeous dress when you steam it so don’t let the crappy packing fool you. I was going to return the dress before trying to on since it looked so bad wrinkled in the box

I would not recommend purchasing this dress at all. This dress is insanely tight with no give. The chest area also sits terribly for those with smaller chests. It has built in cups but given that this whole area is connected there was a weird gap between the two cups. The shininess of the fabric also makes this dress appear very cheap and show EVERYTHING.
