Sequin Lace A-Line Gown

I bought this gown for my son’s wedding which will be in February. I love the interesting sea flowers pattern and the soft mauve color. It has shine to it, but it’s not too glittery. The sleeves are rather loose and comfortable. I did not like the padding in the bust and it was easily removed by my tailor. I wanted a gown that was modest and that I could wear with a supportive bra. I’m wearing a skin toned bra here, and it is barely noticeable through the netted back that is decorated with lovely sequined embroidery. I had the sweep in the back removed when it was hemmed as I felt it would make walking difficult. For reference, I’m wearing the size 8 and I’m 5’ 8” wearing a 2 1/2” heel. I weigh 140 lbs.

I bought this gown for my daughter's wedding this summer and I am very excited to wear it. The color is subtle, somewhere between mauve and silver and the beading and embroidery are beautiful. It is a little loose on the waist and as I am 5 foot 4 it will need to be shortened but the fit on the bust and shoulders is perfect. I think it will be one of those dresses you can put on and then forget about for the evening while still looking elegant.

Dress is fitted on waistline and bust area ,does have a corset which is great for a large busted woman , no bra needed. The details on dress are very elegant and soft and sutle,not overpowering at all. Color seems to be more of a lavender/ lilac depending on lighting . Perfect dress for a mother of bride/ groom, or if your looking for a conservative ,classy , but yet eye catching gown. Also it is light to wear , not heavy at all and breathable for summer or spring.
