Off the Shoulder Ruched Satin Trumpet Gown

After trying 28 gowns for my son's wedding, I found this. It was everything I wanted and had been looking for. The navy color is rich - not dark, drab, or overly bright - the fabric is a quality material, the neckline is appropriate, the draping of the skirt is extremely flattering, and the interior construction ensures a 'contained' fit. Despite being on the tall side (5'9"), it definitely needed hemming (providing me material for a matching mask!), but that was the only alteration. I absolutely LOVED wearing this gown; it was a great emotional 'up' to wear something so elegant and stunning.

The dress is absolutely elegant! (I bought it in navy.). After searching and trying on dozens of dresses, this was the winner! I’m wearing it for my sons wedding. It fits perfectly and is so flattering! Im definitely having ir altered to remove all the extra fabric at the bottom because it’s much too long. The crinoline underneath does add some bulk to it, but it gives the dress a beautiful shape. I talked with a seamstress about removing it and she recommended against it because it makes the layers in the dress lay so beautifully.

I saw this dress online and went into the store to try it on. LOVED IT. They didn't have my size in stock so it was shipped directly from the manufacturer. It is super long but that is an easy alteration. I had the netting underneath removed and the sides taken in slightly so it didn't flare out as much. I had quite a bit cut off the bottom and hemmed because I am 5 foot 4 and didn't want to wear very high heels. I was worried that the dress was heavy and would be hot but it wasn't bad. The boning makes it possible to skip a strapless bra but either way it fit great. I have a little tummy so the gathering at the stomach hid that and made me feel more comfortable. I felt beautiful in this dress and was so happy to wear it walking my daughter down the aisle.

Flattering, comfortable, stunning MOB dress. This gown has structure and structure is your friend. I didn’t lose weight for my daughter’s wedding - even though that was the plan. What I did do was choose the most flattering dress on the planet. Usually a 16. Bought the 14 per advice from reviewers and was glad I did. Felt like a goddess. Buy it.

I returned the dress. I liked the material, the slightly off-the-shoulders without it being too low cut, and the ruching was very nice. The bottom however was NOT for me- layers of tulle which seemed to really have no point and just added extra weight. A bit surprised that there was no mention of it in the description or in the reviews.
