Lace Cocktail Dress

Beautiful fabric and well made. The bodice is very fitted much like a corset but without being adjustable. The bodice has boning in front and on the sides for support but unless it fits you perfectly, it doesn’t work. I had a seamstress look at it for an estimate. The boning is sewn into the fabric layers so alterations would cost as much as this dress. Sending back.

This dress is very pretty and I received a lot of compliments on when I wore it. Has lots of nice details. My only complaint is the stiffness of the bodice. The dress is literally shapely on all its own, even when on the hanger. It forced me to sit straight, otherwise, the bodice would push up so that I looked like my breasts were at shoulder height and if I twisted around to look at something, my breasts stayed face-forward and did not turn with the rest of me. Would have been funny if I wasn’t at a wedding.

Beautiful, well made dress. The details, including the way the bodice is formed make this dress an exquisite choice. The sequins add just a hint of sparkle without being over powering. My concern was having too much sparkle compared to the bride, but this dress is just the right combination of lace and sequins. Subtle and classy. The dress was true to size at the size 8 I tried. The color is very pretty. The only reason I did not keep this dress is that, on me personally, the color was not right. I look better in darker colors. However, the color itself is beautiful. I found the dress comfortable to wear. Definitely a high quality construction.

I purchased a size 12. It fit perfectly everywhere--the sleeves, the bust, waist, overall length and fullness of the skirt. The only thing that didn't work were the stays from the waist to the bustline on either side. Instead of bowing inward to create a slimming, attractive line, they bowed outward making me look like I was top heavy. The stays were inflexible so the dress had to go back.
