Embellished Mesh A-Line Gown

Beautiful dress. Dress was long on me by about an inch and I am 5’9”. Dress is pale pink with two layers of tulle in a gray color which makes the dress appear more of a lilac color. I wore this dress to my daughter’s wedding last weekend during 85 degree weather with 80% humidity and I wasn’t too hot. I am pear-shaped and this dress I originally ordered a 20W, but sent it back for an 18W. I needed to have the shoulders taken in. I loved that the dress did not feel matronly and I received a ton of compliments.

I had shopped for months looking for a perfect dress to wear to my daughters wedding. I saw this dress on the Nordstrom’s website and it was gorgeous! When it arrived, I was thrilled to see that it is even more beautiful than I could of imagined. It was perfect in every way....the colors, the quality, design and detail. It had small little rinestones throughout the embroidered flowers, just enough to make it elegant yet not overdone. I absolutely LOVE this dress and would highly recommended it was that very special occasion.

Giving this 5 stars although I returned it. I wear a 16, ordered a 16, read the size guide for this designer and by all rights, this dress should have fit. Although I wear a 16 and have lost 20 pounds in the last 3 months, the dress still didn't fit...but it's a gorgeous dress.

I wore this dress as the mother of the bride on February 19. I love everything about it, except one thing. You cannot dry clean it and you cannot wash it. It says that you have to spot clean it. So if you buy this dress, don’t take your shoes off and dance.

If your vibe is "bride of the cryptkeeper" then feel free to buy this and you will be quite happy. It was so disappointing. I will start with the positives. The cut the style, the fit, the quality are all wonderful. It is very flattering, light, comfortable and easy to move. Now the bad.... Online the color looks like the pink and grey come together as a pretty dusty lavender but.... in real life this is literally the WORST color combination that could exist. Colorwise .... It couldn't be much uglier. It looks like they buried the princess in a pretty pink dress and then exhumed her 50 years later covered in a layer of mold, muck and dust. Such a shame because this dress would be breathtaking in virtually ANY other color OR if the underlay was grey instead of pink. This combo only works on Halloween.... while wearing a skull mask. Based on the other positive reviews I have to wonder if mine came from a bad dye lot of fabric.... but it's going back.

It was a lovely gown, it fit me very well but the color just did not work for me. No doubt I wish it had worked out! The design is beautiful, the lace work is superb. The internal bra was terrific not need to wear any other type bra. Inside the gown was immaculate as it was outside. I would rate it 10 out of 10.
