LA BASE CAMÉLIA Base Coat

I work with my hands and nail polish usually doesn’t last more than a day or two for me. I love a natural nail polish and I usually go for Essie or Opi for their staying power. Recently though I haven’t been able to find a natural color that wasn’t too white or too streaky so I decided to try this more expensive one. All I can say is that it is certainly worth the price! I use one layer for base or daily use and up to 3 layers for a more natural look. This is my go to now.

I've had this for about 2 weeks. I've used it 4 times and I really like it. It makes bare nails look so much better than an ordinary base coat does. It's sort of like a primer/blurring coat for nails. It also seems like it moisturizes my nailbeds. Now, as far as "strengthening" my nails, it's not the very best I've used in this regard, but, it's an excellent product that I will purchase again. I didn't buy it assuming it was a strengthening product -- it is not. I tend to think it works it's magic best under Chanel nail polish and Chanel Gel Coat as far as working at its best. I've used it under random polish as well with another brand of strengthening base coat over it too.

This is a beautiful and luxurious product. For me, this has replaced Ballerina nail polish which has been discontinued and this color is much prettier. You can use it with any polish or just top it with Chanel Gel Topcoat, another winner. They look so professional together. I hope they do not discontinue this product; the one drawback concerning Chanel is their tendency to discontinue products. I went over to Dior products for a few years for that reason. Glad I am back for these lovely products.
