Stands Up To NE Weather
I've had this jacket for 2 years and so far it has been the best investment in rain resistance I've ever had. I spend at least half my workweek outside in the Northeast USA which means cold wet springs and cold wet falls and this jacket does its job masterfully. It also breathes in the hot humid summer rains so that I'm not sweating in the jacket. The features of the jacket are all very useful. I purchased this jacket expecting high-performance for the price and it delivered.

Sizing wrong
Way too small. I take a 2XL in mens polo shirts and i wanted a mens jacket due to my shoulders.

Some of us don’t do slightly fitted
I’ve had this coat now for over 6 months. It works well in the weather however if you have shoulders and want to wear anything beyond a t shirt then go up a size. It’s too bad LL Bean doesn’t go back to its working man roots. I was hoping to use this coat as shell to work in this winter but that won’t work. Not all of us like or can fit into slightly fitted without breaking out the shoulders. It would depend on the person who I would recommend this coat to.

Size Large Jacket is Small in the Shoulders
Sort of a girl's jacket. I have and older version of this jacket and the new one is noticeably smaller in the shoulders. Fortunately, I'm now 70 years old and my shoulders have grown smaller, and so the jacket barely fits. But if I was younger, it would bust at the seams. I'm still not sure that it will fit when I wear a sweater or fleece under the jacket.
