A great all season garment
We saw this anorak at a clothing store in Marquette, Michigan. (Didn't know LL Bean sold through other outlets) Examined it, liked it, and when we got home ordered one for both myself and husband. We ordered them a size larger and were glad we did. I guess the original intent was for warm weather but by buying a size larger, we were able to comfortably layer this over a bulkier sweater/sweatshirt/fleece. In the ensuing U.P. Michigan "spring" was the perfect combo for the warm/dry and cold/wet again climate. And the hood is very welcome in the early morning walking the dog when those mosquitos are looking for any exposed skin. Love the design!

Poor water resistance
First time wearing this and I was extremely disappointed with the 'water resistance'.
While I understand its not meant as a rain jacket, even a drizzle was breaking through the shell.
Great look as an outershell, but DO NOT expect to use in any type of rainy environment. Besides that, fits well and is true to images.
