Perfect!
I am a big fan of Kut cords and had some skinnies for a time- they were awesome but got worn out. I wanted something I could wear on a casual Friday into my office in DC and ordered these. I was a little hesitant on the size because the reviews were all over the place but here's my take.
I have been a true size 4 (sometimes tighter or looser) but always a 4. all my life.5'4", very athletic build (which means I look 10 lbs less than my 123. Very slim, waist at a 8" rise is 27, inseam to the floor no excess is 31.5. I ordered the red 2, which is my normal size in this brand. Remember these stretch and so unless you want a baggy butt order down. They were a little long, not much, washed and dried and they will be perfect with an inch heel. Felt great, but they did collect lint in the dryer and I will be ironing them so they look neat for the office. I love them. I'll get more for the office because I cannot stand the quality of dress pants and these look just as nice.

Sizing Off & Needs to Come With a Lint Roller
I first purchased these in Black size 6, my usual size. I was shocked at what arrived to my door. They were covered in large pieces of white lint and fuzz. I had to use the lint brush before I could even try them on and it was no easy job removing that lint, because the fabric is like a lint brush in of it self. Everything sticks to it. I had so hoped that this was a fluke, so I reordered two more pair in Gray and Black size 8, because that's all that was left at the time. But, it was the same thing, lint magnets and the sizing is way off. Both the 6 and 8's fit about the same trough the hips and thighs the only difference in the sizing is the waist ban in the 8's are a little larger. I'm 5'9" with a 32" inseam and they were even a little bit too long for me. The rise also was too low in the front for a modest girl like me and strangely higher in the back. This is the first time I've ever been disappointed with Nordstrom's, I used to be able to count on them for really good quality clothing, even the sale items were always a pleasure to receive.

Kut For Curves
I love these pants! I am very curvy in the hips, thighs and butt with a smaller waist. These are comfortable in all areas and allow me to do an active job without worrying that my clothes will hinder me. Highly recommend if you have problems finding pants to fit your curves and smaller waist.

Kut cords fit like a glove
I absolutely LOVE these baby bootcut cords from Kut. They truly fit me like a glove. They are snug in a good way, with plenty of stretch to hug my (more curvy) bottom while not stretching out and becoming baggy. This is the eighth or ninth pair of Kuts that I own (in denim, white denim and corduroy and all different cuts, colors, washes and lengths) and I love each and every one of them. They are classic, nice quality jeans and cords for a decent price. Not too much embellishment--no bling--which is often hard to find these days in jeans and cords. The slight bootcut is flattering without being overwhelming. All in all, I know I will wear these repeatedly during the rest of the fall and winter. They are a wardrobe staple. I will order more colors in the future!

Perfect for me
These dark charcoal boot cut corduroys were just what I was looking for. I'm a 40-something 5' 7.5" 140+ lb woman who usually wears a size 6 pant. My legs and behind are on the slender side, but my waist is on the thicker side. The fit of these pants for my straight build is great - long enough and with some hug to the pants to make them fit in a flattering way. There's enough stretch in the waist for me to be comfortable. I've worn them three times this week and did find that they stretched a bit, making me wonder if a size 4 might have even been a possibility. I wore a belt with them. The color is a warm charcoal. I wore them with a red shirt one day this week and a cream colored sweater another day. I wore them with brown shoes, which surprised me, but the color of the pants is almost brownish/warm/neutral - rather than a cool blue-gray. I'm very happy with them after quite a long search for a flattering pair of corduroys.

Love Them
I have purchased several colors of these cords. I will say that not all colors fit the same for some reason- some are smaller or shorter than others. However, most of the ones that I have tried are true to size. These pants are also long enough in length for me to wear either flat shoes or boots with a small heel. I am 5 ft 8 in. and it's nice to find pants that I can wear without needing to be hemmed. The material is also of good quality and is thick enough to where you can't see through them or see outlines through them like some other brands. Lastly, the material is somewhat stretchy, making them comfortable without them losing their shape.
