Tinted Face Oil Foundation

I am absolutely in love with this tinted face oil. I have been using for about a week. It feels so light, you really don’t even feel it on your skin. a little bit goes a long way as well. I was hesitant about the color but did a lot of research and looked thoroughly at the shades and what works best with my skin tone. I can’t say enough about this product. I now only wear this with mascara on a day to day basis and love it! I believe I got shade 6.

I have great skin on the sensitive side that just needs a little coverage for redness. I also know how to use powder to set my foundation and knock down any unwanted shine. Actually, if I just let this set on it's own I find I only have to powder my nose and chin. This product has been the answer to the loss of a reformulated Guerlain foundation I used for years, but I got so much more from Kosas tinted face oil. Thank you Kosas for making this product. It is the answer to a huge hole for foundations on the market today. For those of us who just want a little coverage and polish, with real moisture, and still appreciate the look of skin and our actual skin coming though, it is the ticket. It's also one of the first foundations I've used in a long time that doesn't start feeling uncomfortable a few hours in because of pulling moisture from my skin. I never get that tight, pulling feeling while wearing this. I also love that I have the control to choose the SPF I want to use. I am so tired of foundations with SPF. Most of them burn if I rub my eyes, and some sting or cause sensitivities. I am over the moon I can use my own SPF under this without unwanted side effects. A little goes a very long way. I did make a mistake and squeezed too much into my hand once and I was not happy with the coverage. It was too much and I lost my skin underneath. With that said, you can control the amount of coverage. I wouldn't say this goes to the level of morgue like 90% of the foundations on the market today. But don't worry! If that's your jam then head to Ulta. They have all the morgue coverage foundations there! And there's one on every corner of small town USA. For those of us who have taken care of our skin, Kosas is the reward. It wears beautifully and hasn't separated in the Southern humidity. I apply mine with clean fingertips and then blend with an Artis # 7.

I really wanted this to work. But no matter what I tried, I could not get this to spread evenly over my face. I used a primer, moisturizer, mixed it with moisturizer, makeup brush, and even applied over my face after cleansing and no moisturizer. The color was right. I like that there isn't any fragrance. I am in my 60's with combination skin. This did not leave a nice finish on my face.

I’ve given this product multiple chances and it just doesn’t work. I really wanted to work because of all the skincare benefits, but it just does not work. I’ve tried exfoliating and moisturizing, and made sure to wait for all my skin care to dry, and didn’t use any products with silicone. Still no luck. You can see every pore, dry patch, and blemish. I’m so mad I threw away the box or else I would return this in a heartbeat. Not worth it at all.

I used to use Laura Mercier Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer religiously before it was discontinued (which I absolutely loved). This has a similar weightless and breathable feel however slightly more sheer. Extremely natural so perfect for family gatherings, summertime, etc. I would recommend to use a light powder (CT or Hourglass finishing powder) if you want longer wear but it’s not necessary just depends on your complexion as well as planned activities. I adore this product. I will purchase again.
