Callie Wedge Sandal (Women)

I had high hopes for these shoes and they almost fulfilled them. I was looking for a neutral-colored, slide platform sandal. I wanted something that was comfortable for all-day wear and some walking. I didn't need to hike in them, but I also didn't want to be limited as to how far I could walk during my lunch break. The color is perfect. The leather straps are a bit stiff but I think they will soften. They are acceptably comfortable but not super comfortable so I took off one star. The outside of the edges are hard and seem a tiny bit raised so if your foot shifts, you hit a hard ridge. I considered sizing up, but the fit is true to size so they would have been too big. I kept the shoes because I've been looking for months, but they will never be a favorite pair.

I really like this brand of shoes, but this pair was an exception. The fit is off for my foot, the 7 was too small and the 8 was both too wide and still too short. I normally wear a 7-7.5. I have other pairs of this brand, and have 7s in those. To keep these on, I needed to tighten the upper strap to its last hole, but the elastic stretches and it still slides around. Like the other reviewer, the raised edges does cause an issue, especially if your foot isn’t anchored in the shoe correctly. Back they go.
