'Austin' Slingback Wedge Sandal

I purchased these in brown from the store in Durham and LOVE them!! They are so comfortable! They are balanced and provide good arch support. True to size. So..I decided to purchase the "red" color. The picture shows it as a light coral. The description says "red". I asked customer service and they confirmed they were, in fact, red. I didn't want red. Kork-Ease website shows Corallo with the same picture as Nordy. I ordered them anyway, knowing if they were RED, I could just send them back with the wondrous free shipping Nordy offers. WELL! Much to my surprise. They are not RED, nor are they CORALLO (what appears to me to be light coral). They are a wonderful orangy/bright coral! Really pretty and will be my go-to shoe for the summer. (along with the Brown ones! :-))

I must say when I first removed these sandals from their box I was hesitant. They didn't look comfortable at all. But once on, they are comfy and and make me feel . . .tall. Cute and comfortable. Great combination! Just be careful when you are getting used to them, I have twisted my ankle a couple of times.

I have owned and worn these wedges for a few a months now and have already convinced a family member to buy a pair for herself. As other reviewers have noted these are very comfortable for walking, though of course your individual experience will vary. My feet are slightly wide at the toes and the front strap doesn't cause a problem until I've walked about 8,000 steps. The shoes have an almost spongy, absorbent feel as you walk in them. The first time I wore them was just to a lunch and back to home. I was complimented by both my friend and our server upon the first wear! The second time I wore them was for 5,000 steps touring around NYC. I checked my phone to see how many steps we had taken before the shoes started to feel uncomfortable and I remember it was 5,000 steps. I changed into tourist tennis shoes and then wore them again the next day. I brought these to Europe and was then able to wear them 8-9,000 steps before having to change. They are also stylish and not necessarily in a boho way. I wore them with black skinny jeans and they still made me appear clean and sleek. You can also wear them with shorts, dresses, etc. I really can't recommend these shoes enough and think they are worth every penny.

This is a gorgeous and beautifully built shoe. The wedge is sturdy and the sole is squishy and comfy, and I can only see it getting even comfier with time. The straps on this shoe are quite wide so it's awesome if you have wide feet. My only advice is that if you have narrow feet, stay away from these! I have slightly wide feet, and even these straps fit kind of lose on me, so I can't imagine how'd these look on something with dainty feet!

I purchased silver grey/pink size. I needed something other than black, brown or tan for a change. Colors are very pretty and will go all my summer outfits. For the height of platform, these are light and fit my feet which get wider every year. Well constructed and good-looking sandals. This is my first Kork-Ease purchase and I will keep my eyes on their sandals from now on. One happy customer here.

I'm usually a size 5.5 in sandals, but in my opinion this brand runs large and size 5 fits me perfectly, down to the placement of the impressive arch support. I've never had a pair of wedge sandals with good arch support so of course now I want these in every color! I got the "Red" which as someone else stated is a beautiful coral.
