Knockout Robots Toy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These RC knockout robots are so fun for my 5 year old! I love that they have 2 modes - versus or defense. If you have 2 players they can battle, but they can also be used as 1 player and the other robot automatically goes into defense mode. This is perfect for my 5 year old when he is playing by himself! Each time the robot gets hit they lose a life and once a robot gets hit 3 times they lose. I would recommend these to anyone with a child who can play by themself but also love a versus challenge.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to like these so bad. I thought my daughter would love them. First of all, you need TEN batteries! And not ten of the same batteries. You need 3 AA for each of the robots and 2 AAA for each of the controllers. You might as well make them rechargeable at that point. Batteries aren't cheap and the fact you need that many and two different kinds if enough for me to immediately not consider buying. Second, the robots will only fight and that's it. I thought you'd be able to at least move them around sort of like a remote control car. You can move them back and forth and left to right but not continously, just one little move. So if they get too far away from each other its hard for a younger kid to get it back where it needs to be without using your hands. And then you can punch with each arm. One of our robots wouldn't do anything after it got knocked down. We would have to shut it off and turn it back on for it to keep fighting. The other one would knock down and keep fighting when turned back up. So basically you just put them as close as possible to each other and just punch till they fall over. I would not purchase again and wouldn't not recommend.
