What it is: An empty case specifically designed to hold The Lip Balm Refill, available separately for purchase.

Black Edition: a recyclable, empty compact made from super-lightweight, high-gloss textured black paper. If product or oil gets onto the case, it can then be composted instead of recycled.

Iconic Edition: a case that began the Kjaer Weis refill system 10 years ago, with an architecturally stunning design. Durable, plastic-free and reusable, it's made from an alloy of zinc together with aluminum, magnesium and copper.

How to use: To fill the Black Edition with The Lip Balm Refill, peel the white sticker and simply place the refill tin into the empty case. The adhesive inside will keep the product in place. The Black Edition case can be refilled 2–3 times depending on use. To remove your lip balm pan, open up the compact and turn it so that it's facing down. You will see a small hole. Using a pin, push through the hole until the used lip balm cartridge is dislodged. Insert the new refill into the case. To fill the Iconic Edition with The Lip Balm, simply place the refill tin into the empty case. The magnet inside will keep the product in place. To remove your lip balm pan, use the same method as you would when refilling the Black Edition case.
