Kindred Collection Peri^™ 180º Rotating Infant Car Seat

This car seat has one too many things going on, from what we experienced. My husband and I thoughtfully installed it (I’m trained in car seat safety) and while I was excited by the idea of a rotating seat, the result was a clunky and unsafe feeling car seat. There are one too many steps to ensure proper and safe use of this every day to not be concerned you miss something. It’s also very “rickety” once installed and made a lot of noise when we road tested it (no baby inside). I wanted to love this, but it’s not a solid seat.

This car seat and travel system is heavy, bulky and isn't exactly user friendly. Too many small pieces to misplace or lose that are required for usage luring you in to buy more from them, the car seat stopped latching into the base not even a year into using it, the stroller is difficult to open and collapse. This might possibly be one of the worst designs I've come across and I personally believe it's too overpriced for what it is. Let me save you the frustration and tell you to go with some other system.

We got peri 180 because it’s easier to seat baby in and it comes to our bugaboo stroller. It’s not light like it says on website but only things we don’t like that kid in car seat get hot so fast . The back of baby is hot because air doesn’t go through. Only thing I concern about. For this price the company has to do something better

Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel, I had the opportunity to try this seat, and I’m beyond impressed. The first thing that struck me was how incredibly lightweight and beautiful it is. It feels high quality and looks great in my car. As a first-time parent, I was a little nervous about installation, but it was a breeze—I was able to do it myself with ease. I particularly appreciate the red-green indicator on the base, which reassured me that I had tightened it sufficiently, as well as the load leg that adds an extra layer of safety. The magnetic chest clip is another standout feature, making it simple and hassle-free to secure my baby. But my all-time favorite feature? The rotating seat—it’s an absolute game changer! Getting my little one in and out has never been easier. Overall, this seat has exceeded my expectations in both safety and convenience, and I’m now a huge fan of Maxi-Cosi.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Maxi Cosi Peri 180 Rotating car seat marries functionality and user friendly features with all the safety features you see on the market today. To start, my husband installed the car seat within 3 minutes. Although it probably isn’t necessary, the red to green indicator on the base of the car seat was pretty helpful in giving the confidence that the seat had been installed properly and also the stand that extends to the ground gave added stability and safety that we look for in our 7 month olds car seat. We wanted this car seat for the 180 degree rotating feature and boy it does not disappoint. Gone are the days of having the awkwardly put baby in and out of the seat. Now to get going on a car ride, we simply swivel the car seat towards the door and place her in, buckle her up and swivel it back in place. There is a locked/unlocked indicator that is helpful to make sure you’ve swiveled the seat back into the safe position for driving. The harness to strap her in is probably the easiest we’ve had to strap her in to any car seat, stroller or any sitting item we own. And the most important positive feature of all is that out usually fussy 7 month old who does not like riding in her old car seat, has sat happily content in the Maxi Cosi Peri a few times now - no tears car rides are priceless. I think the seat provides a nice amount of space and positioning for baby’s body (my daughter is 30% in weight and 80% in height for reference). The only thing I would change about the car seat is for there to be nicer materials used. The harness seems to be a cheaper lightweight plastic and the fabric, while soft and probably comfortable, is not aesthetically pleasing. Nevertheless, a safe and comfortable baby outweighs my desire for prettier aesthetics. I received this product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I enjoyed using the Maxi-Cosi Peri 180° Rotating Infant Car Seat. I like how lightweight the car seat is and appreciate the rotating function for easily getting my baby in and out of the car. The rotating feature is a smart design because it is useful for making adjustments to my baby’s seat straps or doing a quick clean without having to take her out of the car seat since she can face me while I am standing at the car door. Also, I find it easier to not have to bend my arm or awkwardly clip in my rear facing baby since the seat rotates towards me. Installation was easy and the green indicator was helpful because I knew that I installed the seat accurately and safely. One feature that would be helpful is knowing which way to rotate the seat since it is a 180° turn. Also, it would be nice for the carseat to have seat belt inserts at the side so that I can rest the seatbelts when the car seat is not in use. This way, I won’t need to dig for the belt when putting my baby in the seat. I experienced some trouble with the seat belt tightening and loosening but after using the seat a few times, it became easier. Overall my favorite feature of the car seat is how light it is because as my baby continues growing it is tough to carry her in the car seat.
