Lace Trim Ruched Maternity Dress

Based on the size chart I ordered my pre-pregnancy size S since I am normally a size 4 (5'2 120lbs, now 22 weeks and 133 lbs). The small was sooo soo tight. I could barely even get it down my body. So it definitely runs small. I was also having a hard time getting the inner lining to stop from riding up, but maybe that wouldn't have been an issue I had a bigger size. It did "smooth" everything out nicely though. I wish I had sized up.

Super tight especially with the inner lining riding upward and hard to pull down underneath. I have another Kimi and Kai dress similar to this and it fits nicely in size small, but this teal one runs a little smaller. It is super hard to get on and off because THERE IS NO ZIPPER! I wish they had put a zipper in it. It is very figure skimming and flattering (including on a 7m bump and slim shoulders, and the length is great for even a petite frame so no need for alterations, so I will likely keep it but I don't know how long I'll be able to fit it with it being so tight! For ref, I'm 5'2" normally 120 lbs but currently nearly 140 lbs in 3rd trimester.

This dress is your classic pregnancy semi-formal/formal staple. It’s well made and and very figure flattering. As in another review of kimi and kai (quickly becoming a fav of mind) I find all the fabric through the middle a little too generous. To give perspective, I am 26 weeks pregnant and weigh about 145. I ordered a medium for an event when I’m 30 weeks and think this will fit through the middle much better then. If you are small or if you are not showing too much, I would definitely size down. The best part about this dress is that it will carry you through multiple pregnancies and not go out of style.
