Abbie Denim Stretch Maternity Shorts

These looked super cute but they were not flattering on my legs. I have an athletic build but admittedly my thighs have grown a bit with this baby bump. These shorts gave me a smidge of a "thigh muffin" effect. That said, the denim was nice and if you have slender legs these might look great on you.

I got these on sale because I needed some longer maternity shorts as I approach the third trimester in the middle of July. The fit on these is kind of weird - the leg opening is small but the rest of the shorts are kind of big and loose. The fabric of the shorts is also thicker and more rigid than expected. This causes them to pull down frequently. That being said for the short time I will wear them I will survive. If you have skinny legs these may work for you.

I am still on the fence about whether or not to return these shorts; the belly band feels stretched-out compared to the other belly bands I have encountered. Also, the wash isn't my favorite (it has a tan element to give the jeans more of an aged look). However, I am finding it to be difficult to find bermuda shorts in maternity, so I will probably keep these. The fit in the legs is good.

I love these shorts! Fits true to size. The band is comfortable and fits perfectly. Worth the price.
