Excellent fit, sits at true waist, fitted through the seat. As they are 100% cotton, they are not clingy and don't pull down when worn. Fabric is very light, great for summer and warm weather. Kids size 12 measures as follows: waist 26 inches, inseam length 28 1/2, top of leg 19 1/2, bottom leg opening 20 1/2, rise from crotch to waist 9 3/4.
