Kids' Slim Stretch Flat Front Chinos

Button ripped out (as in, leaving a hole in the fabric) the very first time my son went to put them on. We were visiting Seattle from out of town and needed something for my son to wear for a play that same day, so we went back to exchange. There wasn't another pair in his size so we asked the associate for a simple return instead. Unfortunately she processed an exchange, which I didn't realize until I checked my email receipt several days later, after returning home. So now I am out both $40 and a pair of pants I could patch up. Online support connected me to Nordstrom Rack who said they couldn't help and to call the store during business hours. It's still on my to do list.
