Kids' Rio Sandal

We had last years version of this sandal and LOVED them. Bought my daughter her current size and saw they’d changed the back strap to velcro. Didn’t think too much of it as she could get them on and off with it. Until two days in she said her heel hurt and they rubbed and she had marks. The strap doesn’t match up well and the velcro overhangs and rubs the entire time you wear them. We sent them back and are so sad Birkenstock ruined such a fantastic sandal that we previously loved.

Do not buy, these are horrible. First off, they are not leather. They are a cheap plastic material with only a leather sole. I am shocked that this brand would sell fake leather. Also, my twin daughters immediately started complaining about the strap in the back. Upon checking, I noticed the seams and edges were so sharp that it would cut their ankles. The seams are also uneven and look so horribly cheap. I do not recommend buying this.
