Huge. Size down.
I purchased these in a size 3 for my 3 year old. They are HUGE! Maybe she'll be able to wear them when she's 5. Not kidding. Material is thin chambray with a bit of a dingy hue (as shown) not bright and crisp. (For reference, my daughter is average and usually wears a size 3 or 4. These shorts when tied as tightly as possibly still barely hang on to her hips and the length is all the way down to mid-shin.)

Run big
I love the style and fabric of these shorts. They make an excellent neutral staple upon which I can build my kid's spring/summer capsule wardrobe. However we ran into issues with fit with this new iteration. The old ones had a thin waistband, these new ones are thicker. They run pretty big. My daughter wears a 6 to 7 in Primary leggings, but we had to size down to the 4-5 in these and they're still a little too big.
