The extended-use infant car seat features a naturally flame retardant-free, luxuriously soft merino wool blend, providing a true sense of well-being for you and your baby – from the very beginning. The easiest-to-install infant car seat also features a machine-washable, quick-remove seat pad for easy cleanup. The UPF 50+ canopy features a zip-open mesh panel and zip-open, full coverage privacy shield.

One-hand ReclineSure™ spring-loaded leveling foot works in tandem with RideRight™ bubble levels to help verify and achieve proper car seat angle. The LockSure® steel-reinforced belt system facilitates a secure installation with the vehicle belt.

I love the new key fit. But…
I have three kids and i have tried different car seats but i decided to stay with chicco. My first chicco was the bravo travel system which i bought in the philippines. It was the 2021 model that came with the key fit car seat, base and the bravo stroller. The travel system carried my first born through multiple trips from the Philippines to different countries and was passed on to be used by our second child. It was very convenient to use since the stroller is very smooth and very maneuverable and is one click fold. The car seat has a very easy to grab handle and very sturdy and the car base is very rigid and feels secure both for the baby and is easy to lock and attach. All these things are the reason why i didn't bother switching brand for our third child. I was so excited that i saw updates to the new key fit such as, the ONE SIDE PRESS for the tilt adjustment for the grab bars. It makes it so easy to adjust even if i have other things in my hand or the other kid on my other hand. The net cover? I love it! Saying bye bye to always carrying extra blankets to cover the front. Its breathable, its light, easy to store and stays in place. The car base having added whiplash protection is a great feature and is a very appreciated update. The only thing i miss from the previous key fit was the widened almost flat part on the side of the handle of the grab bar. That part made it comfortable for my forearm and can make the carrying of the basket easier for longer durations. Im not that much of a fan of the updated rounded part. Aside from that, i love the car seat i love the brand, it even made me buy the cortina double stroller just so i could still stay in the Chicco family.

Great for newborn
This car seat is super safe, comfortable, and easy to install. The ClearTex fabric is a huge plus—soft, breathable, and free of added flame retardants. I love the added zip-off canopy, and the padding is cozy for newborns and growing babies. I love the rebound bar for more stability and leg room, and installation on the go without the base is easy and feels secure. However, it's on the heavier side, I think about 10lbs. My baby is only 16lbs and I struggle to carry him in it. On the other hand it’s compatible with a Chicco stroller though I don’t have one. Bottom line: If you want top safety, easy maintenance, and cleaner materials, it’s a great choice—just be ready for the extra weight.

Nice car seat
The car seat seems quite sturdy, and the base is very convenient. The fabric and newborn insert feel soft to the touch, and the quality seems to be good. The installation process took us about 30 minutes because we are first-time parents. Overall, we are very pleased with this car seat.

Easy to use
This car seat was so easy to install, and took no time to get in and out of the car. I noticed that it was comfortable to hold as well and didn't strain my arm when carrying it. The texture of the fabric feels soft and breathable. I just love how effortless it felt to remove, making it super easy for travel.

Overall great carseat!
Overall it is a nice car seat. Not too heavy to carry, love the full privacy canopy, feels very cushioned and safe for our baby. I thought the handle felt like it was getting stuck on the canopy when you were moving it up and down. It is great having the option to install without a base for travel purposes.

Fantastic Product
We got this as an extra car seat for our newborn daughter. I love the material and overall design. It was so easy to install and works perfectly with the Chicco stroller that we already have. The built-in canopy is a must have feature; no more remembering to bring a separate cover, or trying to keep a blanket overtop during winter weather. This has quickly become our primary car seat and we are so glad to have it!
