The Volume Mascara

Same tubing mascara, same wand. However, KA runs a deeper black and it a bit harder to get off. I think Trish's comes off easier and doesn't leave a trace in the morning like KA. Both KA and TM have a quality control issue. Sometimes I get a perfect tube, one that glides on like gel, other times, the tube is dried out. This goes for both Kevyn and Trish. I do like both, just wish the texture was more consistent.

So I bought this mascara based on an editor's review in a magazine. I really liked the application and felt that it really did lengthen my lashes. Also in terms of staying power, it was great and didn't smudge much at all. The problem was in the removal. I felt like all of my eyelashes were coming off while using the makeup removal wipe I typically use. Now, in reading the reviews I find that this is a "tube mascara" and that it washes off easily with warm water and pressure to remove the tubes. Gee, some instructions might have been indicated, don't you think?????? Mine came with absolutely nothing, and I was very frustrated at how hard it was to remove this mascara, not to mention my horror at removing so many of my own lashes. So I am willing to try it again, since I did very much like the look of the mascara on my eyelashes.

I absolutely love the Mascara Volume mascara. It's not clumpy, it's easy to take off, it's non irritating, and it doesn't smear. I have spent loads of money trying Bobbi Brown, Lancome, Chanel, Estee Lauder, and Le Metier De Beaute mascaras, but none of them worked for me. I highly recommend the Mascara Volume Mascara. My oily eyelids made every other mascara (even Chanel) smudge or flake off little pieces on my face, but not this one. This stays on through a full work day, an afternoon workout, a run and even a few tears. I was sad to see that this mascara was not carried in stores as it is the highest performing mascara of the 10+ other high end ones I have tried over the years. The tube technology makes washing it off with water a breeze. No makeup remover needed, no residue left on the lashes after removal. I sometimes use a clear mascara underneath as a base, and a lash curler will help with lift but it's not needed. Wish there were others like this. Highly recommended.

I was excited to get this mascara because of all the reviews I read online. I like the small thin brush because I have small deep set eyes, BUT this is not a "volume" mascara. It's an everyday mascara. It's okay, but not great. I will stick to my Clinique Lash Power Long Lasting Mascara because that mascara actually has a similar brush, stays on all day, gives you volume and length, and it's $12 cheaper. So, if you are looking for a mascara that has a small thin brush and is cheaper and has lasting power than buy the Clinique mascara.
