Disappointing
Fully expected these shoes to hold up given the KEEN name. The adults in our family all wear KEENs so of course we wanted our kids to have great shoes too! Our two kids love these shoes and insist on only wearing them because they are so comfortable. Unfortunately, that leaves us buying shoes that last maybe two months, if we’re lucky. We now have bought more than 10 pairs (I’ve lost count) of these shoes in different colors over the last year and a half and the sole on all of them wears completely down making the shoes dangerous. The inside fabric peels on the heel fast as well. It is so disappointing. KEEN used to be the shoe that lasted forever and was worth the money. Not so much any more. I can’t afford to keep paying for their quality control issues.

Excellent shoes
My son loves these shoes, they are his second pair. We really appreciate the waterproof aspect of them and they are tough for daily play outside and gym class at school (he is 8 yo).

Perfect for my handicap daughter
These are the only shoes that give her the support she needs as well as hold up to the beating she gives her shoes. We love them. Plus she was untying her shoes and she can't do that with these.

Not durable, elastic ties way too long
After several weeks of wearing them, stitch is loose, unglued in one spot. Elastic strings way too long, dragging on the ground when tightened unless ticked in which is inconvenient to do every time you put shoes on.

My Son's First Choice!
The waterproof version was his first choice to replace the two pairs of Targhees he'd outgrown. He loves the Targhee shoes for their traction and stability. We live in the PNW and hike regularly. He wanted the waterproof shoe over the ventilated version, and we put it to the test on a recent hike. His feet only got wet when he submerged them in a creek (not sure why that was part of his test...).
