Excellent hiking boots
I purchased this in my regular size 7.5, but the top of one boot was rubbing on one side on the first hike. However, after a couple more hikes, the rubbing was gone. I felt I could use a little more room in the toe box, so I purchased a second pair, 1/2 a size up and use thicker socks, which I found more comfortable for the toes, and it was perfect. It is so comfortable I am going to get another one.

Absolutely NOT Waterproof!
I bought a pair of Targhee III boots at the end of September before going on holiday to the West coast of Scotland. They were a great fit and extremely comfortable straight out of the box. I spent the next week with wet feet! Willing to accept that I had got a ‘bad’ pair I took them back to my local retailer and exchanged them for a new pair. The first time I wore them on a wet day my feet were wet - again. I have persevered with them as I am not sure whether my local retailer will be able to refund my money now that I have already had one exchange ( small print not clear) and I do not think they should bear the cost of the replacement. I would advise anyone considering it, not to buy theses boots; a total waste of money! I have had many pairs of Keen footwear over the past several years and am more disappointed than I can express with the disaster that these boots have been.

I ordered several Keen hiking boots and this color combo was my favorite. I went with the Targhee III instead of the II because they’re supposed to be less stiff. I’ve worn them on two hikes so far and they’re still a little stiff but I’m sure they’ll become even more comfortable the longer I use them!

Color is deceiving in photos
Much more of a bold purple than I expected. The photos make the purple on the laces and back inside of the boot look more muted/ red. Closely resembles the purple in the last photo of the bottom of the sole. Reminds me of Barney the dinosaur purple. Otherwise a great quality hiking book that runs true to size. Will be returning for a different color!

Second pair 14 years and a million miles later
I LOVE these boots. This is literally my second pair but the first pair traveled the world with me and last 14 years!!!
Amazing quality and comfort.

Short life
Loved these boots but they didn't last 6 months before they started cracking/splitting around the toe of the boots. Which made them no longer waterproof unfortunately.
