Not waterproof, wears out fast

My toddler loves these. BUT. We’ve had them less than a month and they are already coming apart AND they are not even slightly waterproof. We’ve gone on multiple backpacking trips and he has had soaked feet (wearing zip locks to keep his feet dry inside the shoes) twice. Not because of rain, just wet vegetation. No one else had wet feet. Bummed. Toddlers need quality hiking shoes too!
